FALL CANDLE HAUL

I have one word to blame for my recent addiction to Bath & Body Works candles: Zoella. This British blogger has become my new obsession due to her positivity and honest candor. In one of her recent Bath & Body works haul videos, she literally smells 30+ different candles, and I cannot believe I watched all 15 minutes of it. Soon after watching, I raced to the store as the candles were on sale ($13.50 CAN each) and I had a 20% off coupon (I would seriously sign up for their emails - great deals!). As a rule, I never spend full price at that store!! You simply do not need to!

During my first haul, I went out and purchased 3 different 3 wick candles (the only type of candle worth buying, in my opinion) and 3 different car scents & a freaking adorable fox holder to place them in.

Here are the three wick candles I purchased:

PUMPKIN APPLE: I am in LOVE with this candle. It contains notes of "delicious red apple (YES), fall pumpkin (YES), fresh ground cinnamon (YES), and clove bud (I think so!? Not too sure what smells of, honestly!).

This candle might be my absolute favourite of the all candles I have ever purchased. It smells like autumn in jar. I love that mixture of fresh apple and the cinnamon spice. It has an EXCELLENT throw and makes your entire home smell of cozy deliciousness! I didn't think I liked spicy candles but this scent makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside. I know I love this candle because it is already almost gone & I keep panicking that I will need to buy another!

MARSHMALLOW FIRESIDE: This candle is honestly my new obsession. It is everything GOOD about the smell of a campfire, leaving out the bad bits that make your clothes stink the next day. This candle contains notes of "toasted marshmallow, smoldering woods, fire roasted vanilla (fancy!), and crystallized amber (no idea what that smells of!)".

This candle has a rich, complex scent. It is definitely not too sweet, yet you can still smell the marshmallow in it. I find this scent to be oddly stress-relieving and makes me think of fond times around the campfire - with a much more pleasant scent. This candle has excellent throw and I must say I am in love.

CRANBERRY WOODS: This candle, to me, was unfortunately quick basic. I usually love the smell of cranberry, but I found this candle to be a bit one-dimensional. After reading online reviews of the candle, it seems everyone has the same sentiment: "all cranberry, no woods." It appears from the reviews I have read, that this candle used to have a lot more depth and is now just a one dimensional cranberry candle. If that is your thing, you will likely love it!

One wick candles:

During my second visit (the visit of shame), I felt like I missed out on some of the top fall scents and "needed" to go back. After lighting the one wick candles, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. They SERIOUSLY lack the throw of 3-wick candles. However, I find putting them in a small space (i.e. bathrooms) works quite well. Don't buy these if you want to fill a large space, you will be disappointed.

LEAVES: Zoella described this as one of the two candles to buy if you are looking for a scent that perfectly describes FALL or as she says, Autumn. It contains crisp red apple (love apple scents, oh my!), golden nectar (??), and warm clove spice. This scent is rich, spicy and quite similar to "Pumpkin Apple." I quite love it & have it in my downstairs bathroom so guests get to smell a lovely scent, smelling quintessentially of fall, while doing their business.

AUTUMN: This is the second candle Zoella describes as one of the two to purchase for the season. This candle contains bright red gala apple, fig, eucalyptus leaf, and fir balsam. This candle is similar to "Leaves" but replaces the spice with the fresher scents like eucalyptus leaf and fir balsam. I love this candle as it reminds me of the crisp fall air that is just so fresh!

MARSHMALLOW FIRESIDE: My obsession with this candle is real. Yes, I purchased another one.

Car Scents:

I really love a delicious smelling car, and these are the perfect car air-fresheners. I purchased "Pumpkin Apple" (currently in my car and smells JUST like the candle), "Sweater Weather" (kind of smells like cologne/the woods), and "Leaves". I have not tried "Sweater Weather" or "Leaves", but I am sure they will be amazing. I find the car scents are really strong at first, especially if you leave your car in the sun! These scents last for about 3 weeks to a month, depending on how strong you like the scent to be!

I cannot wait to go back into the store for the winter scents, but in my opinion, fall takes ALL (And I will really miss it!).

Sincerely,
